Group “In the Kitchen” Class – How to Make Alternative Milks

Learn how to make milk alternatives. It’s quick, easy and lots of fun!!

With many food sensitivities, intolerances and allergies we’ve got to have “safe” alternatives to rely on to fulfill our nutritional needs. Although these alternatives are available to us¬†at the grocery store, they are not necessarily the best choices. The commercial nut milks are highly processed and have to be fortified to meet dietary standards. Also, there are only about 10-20 almonds used to make commercial almond milk and about 1/2 of a cup of coconut to make coconut milk! That makes you wonder about all of the other junk they have to put in it to make it resemble “milk.”
